Listed below are explanations of some of the activities and general terms you will meet in you involvement with the club.

St Andrews Horse and Pony Club Inc, is affiliated with the Pony Club Association of Victoria (PCAV) and is a member of the Northern Metropolitan Zone of that association. The aims of St Andrews H &PC are represented by the following aims of our parent body the Pony Club Association of Victoria (P.C.A.V.).

To encourage young people to ride and to learn to enjoy all kinds of sports connected with horses and riding.
To provide instructions in riding and hore mastership and to instill in members a concern for the proper care of their animals.
To promote the highest ideals of sportsmanship, citizenship and loyalty, thereby cultivating strength of character and self-discipline.

The pony club movement has a notable history as a youth movement in Australia and in general has been encourae by Government bodies at local, state and Commonwealth level. Australia has more pony club members than any other country outside the U.K.
